I got to know Kevin when he was working at another motorbike shop in Dunedin, at the time I had a pretty specialised bike – an Aprilia SXV550. It was the kind of bike that if something wasn’t right it might just fly to pieces. Kevin soon became the only mechanic in town who I’d let touch the thing.

Kevin is the kind of a mechanic that when he decided to start his own bike shop, I went with him. He’s now been my motorcycle mechanic for something like ten years. He is -hands down- the best mechanic in Dunedin. He’s built a number of bikes for me, including two pretty full-on race bikes that are pre-1982 race bikes.

At the moment, he maintains ten motorcycles for me. What he offers is something a little different, he always makes time for you and is happy to show me what’s going on with my bike. At his workshop, you can always look in and see what’s being done. With Kevin, I can always say, tell me the story – what’s happening? And get an honest, reliable answer.

Without a doubt, he’s the best motorcycle mechanic in town but more than that, he’s just an all-round great guy.
